The gearboxes series are used mainly for connecting hydraulic pumps to the power take-offs of agricultural tractors. PTO output, standardized at either 540 or 1,000 rpm, is, in this way, increased to optimum operating speeds for theA seal-journal surface that features an inverted shot-peened texture, with raised (rather than indented) spherical lobes and corresponding valleys in between, better supports hydrodynamic lubrication. EPT developed a process that compresses seal journals between burnishing dies that have been peened to create random spherical depressions. This leaves an “orange peel” texture on the journal surface, typically with a 20 to 40-m in. surface roughness. hydraulic pumps. RD series of gearboxes are used to reduce hydraulic motor speed.
ML and B series gearboxes provide the connection for hydraulic pumps to low speed tractor power take off. The standard power take off speed of 540 rpm, is increased by the gearbox ratio to optimal speed conditions required for the pump. Different inputs are accepted under condition that the output speeds don’t go over 3000 rpm.

Lubrication
SAE 90 gear oil must be put in the pto gearbox prior to use-please note we do not supply the gear oil and will not accept responsibility for customers not putting oil in. Change the oil after the first 60-80 hours and then every 12 months or 1500 hours which ever falls first.
Maintenance
Please check the oil level via the special oil window every 50 hours. Working temperatures should not exceed 120 degrees celcius under continuos duty cycle.
